HOW TO TRULY FLOURISH IN LIFE?
Have you ever wondered why
you always hustle endlessly, yet feel like you are standing still? And I am one
of those people who struggle throughout my university life and now, working life.
There are a bulk of advice from many people around the world that “Just try
your best” but none of them reveal this secret.
Firstly, you
must know WHY you do not achieve anything in life. As a young adult, I have
learned we are our worst enemies. Our success depends on resisting temptation. We
are responsible for every decision, from the life we want to the family we aim
to build. Our shadow – inner person is a double-edge sword. We are the captain
of our lives, not others.
Secondly, a small device that
is with us every minute – “smartphone”. Can you concentrate with “ting ting”
sound from phone notifications? Definitely cannot, social media (Facebook,
Tiktok, Instagram, Whatsapp…) makes us lose attention, live a fantasy life if
you have over 1k likes or follows, and over time we become slaves to these platforms.
Here are some tips:
1. Installing some productivity apps like Stayfree, My Apps Time, Offscreen...
2. If you are using a laptop, open Google Chrome extension shop and download New Feeds Eradicator to minimize your time on useless platforms
3. Keeping your phone as far as you can, it is the best not to see it and turn off all notifications. If you have important call, buy a mini mobile phone and take it with you
4. Set time blocks, using Pomodoro technique and FOCUS
Why those factors are things hold
you back from success? Here is the ultimate reason and how to solve:
FOCUS
You must identify “What is
your goal? What is your purpose? Are we having lots of things need to think of?”
Then, FOCUS.
But what is Focus? It’s dedicating
time and effort into your goals that could bring benefit in the long run.
Why we need to focus? As it
the shortcut led to achievement. Imagine you are driving a car, what will
happen if you are sleeping or looking around – you would have a car crash or
likely to get someone injured.
However, work smart but not
work hard as your attention level and health is limited.

From this chart, it is healthy if you can get
up early in the morning and work on your goal and then have a short nap in the
midday, then plan for your evening to make sure you are on track.
